I wouldn’t exactly say that I’m the biggest trend follower but sometimes a trend just hits home and I dive right in! The satin midi skirts that have been all over have really been speaking to me. That’s particularly true for the animal print ones. I think that they give you a fun ability to dress an outfit up or down depending on if you wear heels or sneakers and what type of top you wear. I embrace any opportunity to get dressed in something besides athletic wear and wear sneakers so I am all over this look! I thought that it would be fun to pair my new favorite band tee with it but for night time I can also wear a black top. Also, I got this jacket for the holidays and I am OBSESSED with it! It is so reasonably priced, comfortable, and I love that it has a detachable hood. I like that the sweatshirt fabric hood is detachable because I can keep it on when I want a more casual look and remove it when I want it to be dressier. I linked some of my other favorite leopard skirts below!
Christmas Day is right around the corner. It’s one of those days where I’m looking to wear something that is equal parts cute, comfortable, and festive. We spend a lot of time lounging on the couch so I like to be comfortable. I also like to get on the ground and play with my niece and nephew (I mean, they obviously need to play with all their new toys and I want in on the excitement) so I like something that allows me to do that. However, you know I don’t pass up on opportunity to dress for a theme or holiday. These items are the perfect balance of dressy and comfortable. There are a lot of great sweaters here too, which are great for the winter months ahead as well. Just click on an image below to shop!

LDW has come and gone and that means that Fall is here/right around the corner. It's time to get our cozy wear ready for action. Sweaters are about to become a necessity. If they're necessary, they better be darn cute as well! I rounded up all of my favorites that are currently for sale.
The sweater that I'm wearing is cozy and warm but also breathable, which is perfect. It definitely has that oversized fit to it. I wore my true size (XS) but if its not tucked in it looks too big so I'd size down unless you want it really oversized. I wore a bodysuit under it but you could also wear a bandeau if it was really oversized on you. I bought a size Small (the size that I normally wear in body suits and one piece bathing suits) and it's perfect. It's nice quality, soft and has cool sleeves. The necklace that I'm wearing is cool and comes in a silver and rose gold color as well. It's perfect with sweaters! The jeans I'm wearing run true to size and have that 'mom' fit to them. They are super cheap (less than $30) and are soft and nice but definitely won't be jeans that hold their form for a ton of wears without washing. They're fun 'knock around' jeans but not a staple that will hold up for a long time in your wardrobe or that you'll want to wear out on a Saturday night per say. The booties really elevate any outfit! The studs are such a fun twist! They run a little big so I'd size down half a size if you have a narrow foot but if you don't then order your true size. All items I'm wearing are linked at the bottom of this post.
Roll your sleeves up and let's get to my favorite sweater round up...

I seriously hate Forever 21's name so much that it deters me from shopping there haha. Well, that and having to shift through 10000 crappy pieces to find a good one. Luckily for you guys, I did all of the digging already and am only presenting the gold. A couple of these dresses I've had since last summer and I wash them all the time (because I wear them so frequently) and they've held up fine (I hang dry them). It's great to have some inexpensive options for summer to add to your wardrobe. I even found a dupe 'save' version of the free people, which maxi dress that I wore in Malibu! There are only 6 items here because I only wanted to show you guys winners!

Do you guys love an embroidered blouse as much as I do? These are giving me all of the Spring feels. These are the perfect touch of bohemian that make you want to move to a beach town but still be able to go to your job (and wear a lot of these tops). They're flirty and fun! In case you missed my million Insta-Stories (can you blame me?!), my parents got a puppy! His name is Rocky and he's a Cavapoo (mixture of Cavalier King Charles and Poodle). Rocky is 8 weeks old and weighs 4 pounds (he will weigh between 10-15 pounds when he's full grown). He's SO cute its absurd. He's either being a total maniac and mega playful or passed the f-out from total puppy exhaustion. I love both of his moods! I wish that I could take him home with me during the evening hours when he's exhausted and wants to just sleep on my chest while I watch TV. Then, I'd like to give him back during the middle of the night when he's waking up multiple times haha.
He is a MAJOR mama's boy! It's so crazy that he just KNOWS my mom is his mom, even though my sister and I have been around almost the whole time that he's been here (and my dad in the evenings). He flips out crying when she leaves the room and it's so sad but also so sweet that he imprinted on his mama and just knows that she's his. He will only sleep if he has a direct view of my mom's head from his crate at night. He really just can't get close enough to her, he literally climbs all over her. If she is emptying the dishwasher, he is rightttt at her foot. The crying when she leaves the room is both relentless and sad though!
Jay and I talked A LOT over the years about getting a puppy and thought that we were going to get one right after we got married. We ultimately decided not to in order to hold onto the freedom that we have during these years before having kids. We want the freedom to travel easily and honestly we were stressed about the amount of money that a dog would cost. We would rather put all of the money that we can towards traveling right now and enjoying being young and "free." I know that we will definitely get a dog at some point down the line but it's been hard for me to have the self control to not get one now.
All that goes to say that I feel REALLY lucky that I get to be around a puppy and have a puppy join my family without all of the work and financial responsibility! Of course I now have a problem because I want to be around him all the time. I was supposed to leave my parent's house yesterday to go home and then was too weak to leave! I want him to know who I am and I want to enjoy this time with him while he's SO little because I know that these moments are fleeting.
Rocky also makes for a great companion in photos! I mean, is there any better accessory?! We both love my new lace blouse. I love the feminine ruffle detail on it. I am not a fan of really intense, huge ruffles but I think that they add a pretty touch to tops when they're done right. I linked a bunch of my favorites below. Just click on an image to shop it.

Shopbop just released a surprise sale and it is the kind of surprise that I can get behind! The free shipping and returns makes it encouraging to buy items while they're on sale and then try them at home to see what works. It takes forever to go through their inventory though. Therefore, I rounded up all of my ultimate favorites and included them in this post. Just click on an image to shop it. Happy surprise sale!
It's not everyday that you get back to back sales on IN SEASON items. I like buying sweaters before it's actually cold, not once spring is finally arriving and I'm sure you agree. That's why these back to back sales have been so legit! There are so many amazing sales through the current Bloomingdales Friends and family event (like this awesome hoodie)! It can get overwhelming and time consuming to sort through them all so I narrowed down my ultimate top contenders to share. Just click on an image to shop the item!
Of all of my sale round ups, I think that this is my favorite! I went into shopping this sale with the intentions of finding products that will be less than $100 (when on sale). I thought that this would lead me with pretty slim pickings since Shopbop can lean towards a higher price range (I mean their price filter goes into the thousands!). I was so pleasantly surprised by what I found! In fact, there were so many choices that it took hours to go through! I selected the best picks and broke them up into categories below. The dress that I'm wearing in the photos is included!
I genuinely want every single one of these items and may or may not have ordered too many of them! I selected items that were at least primarily in stock in all sizes. The sale ends Friday so get your fingers clicking away ASAP! You can hover your mouse over a picture below. If you click on an image, it will bring you directly to the site to purchase. Shipping and returns are always free on Shopbop and they give you the prepaid return label as a sticker in the box (my favorite)! USE THE CODE EOTS17 AT CHECKOUT.

I think that the first rule of wearing a mini dress is to wear very high heels that will make your legs look long (even when they are short stubs like mine). These were as high as I could go (and I'm only equipped to go directly to my seat at the dinner table in these haha) but I am grateful that these low block heels are in this season. The loose boning in this dress makes it hug to your body in a way that helps you out a little bit but isn't so tight that it's uncomfortable. I'm wearing an XS and while it fits snugly around my chest, I think that it fits pretty true to size. It also comes in white but I thought that the white color looked a little bit cheap in this lace. I mean it is cheap becacuse it's less than $20 butttttt we obviously don't want it to look it!
